The Project:
J. Jeffers & Co. received a New Markets Tax Credit allocation of $13 million from FIRE and $12 million from a third-party CDE for the redevelopment of four historic buildings for reuse as a creative studio space, private office space, an inclusive coffee shop, and multi-tenant office. The four historically restored buildings vary in size and focus on serving different people and organizations within the community.

The project created and retained 214 jobs from the project’s operations, created 200 construction jobs, and serves 1,507 community members through its workforce training, business incubation, and educational services.
